Module 01PD4 M1 Fluid and clinical evaluation
Differentiate fluid-volume findings, membrane rupture and infection questions without diagnosing.
120 minutes instruction + 60 minutes independent study.
Topics: Fluid functions; oligohydramnios and polyhydramnios vocabulary; measurements and uncertainty; maternal/fetal context; tests explained by clinicians.
Assignment: Create a neutral question list for an ultrasound follow-up.
Module 02PD4 M2 Support when plans change
Adapt emotional and practical support to testing, monitoring or changed birth timing.
120 minutes instruction + 60 minutes independent study.
Topics: Shared decisions; access; induction and cesarean questions; newborn follow-up; urgent symptoms; no home methods to manipulate fluid.
Assignment: Role-play a changed birth plan and document a referral.
Final assignment
A client is frightened by a low-fluid result and asks whether drinking water can replace follow-up.
Materials and preparation
Digital course workbook, scenario pack and assignment templates; access to a device for reading and submitted work. Use fictional or de-identified examples. Faculty assign selected readings within the stated study hours.
