120 minutes instruction + 60 minutes independent study.
Topics: Meaning and limits of a result; timing; intrapartum antibiotic discussion; allergy history for clinicians; newborn observation.
Assignment: Compare accurate and misleading parent explanations.
Module 02PD7 M2 Supporting decisions and follow up
Help a family ask questions and recognize the need for urgent newborn care.
120 minutes instruction + 60 minutes independent study.
Topics: Consent; clinical context; uncertain or unavailable results; infection concerns; referral; avoiding unproven eradication remedies.
Assignment: Role-play a clinician discussion and a newborn-concern handoff.
Final assignment
A client wants herbs to replace prescribed GBS prevention.
Materials and preparation
Digital course workbook, scenario pack and assignment templates; access to a device for reading and submitted work. Use fictional or de-identified examples. Faculty assign selected readings within the stated study hours.
