Who this is for

Doulas and perinatal professionals who have a service idea and want a focused business setup sprint.

What you will learn

  • State a clear offer for a defined audience within professional scope.
  • Build a service-fee model using direct costs and paid and unpaid time.
  • Map a consistent inquiry-to-offboarding process.
  • Create accurate, accessible marketing and a manageable outreach plan.
  • Present a coherent launch package and revise a weak assumption.

Entry & readiness

A defined service idea and basic spreadsheet/document access. New and established practitioners may attend; no client records are needed.

How learning works

Two 6-hour live studio days plus 6 hours independent preparation and revision, with breaks outside instructional time. Suggested pace: 2 weeks.

Practice & application

No client-contact practice. Work with fictional or de-identified business examples. This 18-hour implementation studio is distinct from the 36-hour PD2 comprehensive business course; there is no automatic shared credit.

Completion requirements

Complete every module and assigned artifact. Pass the knowledge assessment at 85% with all critical safety and scope items correct. Pass the applied assessment at 17/20 or higher, with at least 3/4 in each of five dimensions: accuracy, role boundaries, communication and inclusion, applied judgment, and documentation/reflection. Any critical error requires feedback and reassessment before completion. Live skills sessions are mandatory; missed instruction requires an equivalent assessed make-up.

Scope & credential clarity

Professional business education, not individualized legal, tax, insurance or investment advice. Draft agreements and financial assumptions require the appropriate professional review. This workshop does not promise income or employment.

The Daisy Academy award reflects the Academy’s own competency requirements. It does not confer licensure or automatically establish external accreditation, insurance recognition or third-party certification.
