Module 01PD3 M1 Transmission and risk
Identify transmission routes and match precautions to a task.
120 minutes instruction + 24 minutes independent study.
Topics: Hand hygiene; respiratory illness; vaccination literacy; symptoms and fitness for duty; household risk factors.
Assignment: Classify five household and clinic scenarios.
Module 02PD3 M2 PPE and work areas
Demonstrate correct PPE sequence and clean-zone setup.
180 minutes instruction + 36 minutes independent study.
Topics: Gloves and exposure; donning/doffing; clean versus sterile; spills; waste; sharps awareness; latex alternatives.
Assignment: Observed skills circuit with a contamination challenge.
Module 03PD3 M3 Equipment and environment
Develop a cleaning workflow using current instructions.
180 minutes instruction + 36 minutes independent study.
Topics: Bottle/pump parts; laundry; surfaces; manufacturer contact times; storage; multi-household travel; avoiding chemical mixing.
Assignment: Audit a mock kit and correct unsafe equipment reuse.
Module 04PD3 M4 Exposure and improvement
Execute a report, referral and follow-up plan after an exposure.
120 minutes instruction + 24 minutes independent study.
Topics: Immediate first aid within training; occupational reporting; urgent professional advice; records; prevention review.
Assignment: Timed exposure-response simulation and corrective-action note.
Final assignment
A provider moves between households while ill and reuses inadequately cleaned feeding equipment. Identify immediate actions and rebuild the workflow.
Materials and preparation
Digital course workbook, scenario pack and assignment templates; access to a device for reading and submitted work. Use fictional or de-identified examples. Faculty assign selected readings within the stated study hours.
